Maya

Her name came to me after reading about the foundations of everyday words in foreign cultures, that in the Americas have become names.  In Hebrew, it means "a spring" or "a brook" and that leaped off the page right away.

To me, her hat is like looking down at a slow moving stream pushing fallen leaves to an unknown destination, while the silver light of the sun dances off the ripples.
